Alright, I've been busy lately. Really busy. But I do have a few things.....
Stuff I found

Broadclip is a new site that will actually act as a Tivo for internet radio, recording your favorite songs and artists and then giving you the option to download the recordings. Some are good, some are not, but they are free mp3's and it's free....did I mention it's free? You do have to download a program to get the music, but from what I can tell, it's adware/spyware free and it doesn't suck up too much memory as it runs in your icon tray.

Have you ever seen a $4000.00 diamond Hello Kitty Watch? I didn't think so.

This web site will remove tourists from your pictures. The catch is, you have to have taken three pictures of the same thing to do it. You have to see it, it's too hard to describe.
I'm a Hillraiser .....well sorta

OK, if you're on Myspace, Add Her!!!!! We're ready for a female president, aren't we?

Magic Castle
Have you ever heard of this place? It's in LA, and it's like a "club members only" type of spot. Anyway, I got to go recently and had fun. They do magic in different areas of the castle, and they have a piano named Irma that plays by itself. Not only does it play by itself though, it takes requests and plays them.
No....I can't get you in.

Bored at work?

You could hit up Jibjab.com and make one of these movies with your own head, or the heads of your friends and family. They're good for a laugh or two. My aunt made this one with Gramma, My cousins Cyndy, and Thomas.

Where there's smoke, there's fire.

Driving along the 118 in Porter Ranch, I took these shots of the smoke. It was horrible! This was called the Ranch Fire.

Happy Halloween! ..... in a few weeks.

I'm BAAACK!
Online I mean! For those of you who could not find me for a while, well.....there was a little snafu with the domain name and let's all just say that my experience with Gisol.com has not been favorable. So based off my experience, I recommend that you do not do business with them. Gisol.com.....

AND, well, I am NOT working at B95.1 anymore. Thanks for the email, letters and feedback from you all, I really do appreciate it. I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I am across town in Thousand Oaks. I work at the NPR Radio station for Santa Barbara and Ventura counties....KCLU. You can hear me doing a datebook and other things on 88.3 and 102.5 in SB. I am the new Assistant Program Director.

I miss my countdowners! And, I am sure you miss the countdown.....but, I decided to keep the Hall of Fame up for y'all that want to visit it for old time's sake.

Totally random, but check out the cool pic I took in Big Sur......Seriously I TOOK THIS!!!!!. I use it as a cellphone wallpaper on my Blackjack...Feel free to steal and use it if you want.

My NEW YAWK Accent

I'm not the best, I've heard Larry (he works on the weekends on B95.1 and he's scary good) but check out the latest spots to run for The Natural Cafe.

I was channeling Flo, my waitress in some New York Deli who looked at me funny when I asked her for a knife to cut my pastrami sandwich in fourths. You know, us crazy Californians actually like to fit our food IN our mouths, thanks.

Cat People

Everyone knows I am not a cat person, but I still think this is cool.

Cat owners can now see what their pet gets up to once they go through the flap.

It follows the launch of ‘cat cam’ by a German inventor, who attached his light-weight camera to the collar of his tom cat.

The camera takes one photo a minute for 48 hours. The camera weighs 70 grams including the batteries and Mr Perthold said it didn’t give his cat any problems. He wrote his own software to control the camera and perfected the design. He is now selling his invention for $30 in the US.

Phil's creative Photo Art

I say this piece is making a statement about consumerism (as represented by the dog) pushing us toward a puzzled state (as represented by the Rubik's Cube) in today's society (as represented by the flowers)......OR it's just a friggin' picture of the Target Dog with a game you remember and love from the 80's.

Whatever it means, I likey. Photo by Phil Prescott.

Paris didn't take the Pay to Stay Program

Alright, let's give credit where credit is due. Paris Hilton refused to apply for the Pay to Stay program that California jails offer. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE?!?!?!? I thought for sure she was joking when she was quoted as saying:

“I did have a choice to go to a pay jail. But I declined because I feel like the media portrays me in a way that I’m not and that’s why I wanted to go to county, to show that I can do it and I’m going to be treated like everyone else. I’m going to do the time, I’m going to do it the right way.”

So I was like, what the hell is a pay jail?!?, and did some digging. NPR has a very interesting story on them, at this link. It's audio, and enlightening. Check it out. You gotta hand it to the girl, she could have taken the easy road.

The good ol' days

Matt Perry and Jennifer Aniston both appear in this totally funny tutorial by Microsoft. They are getting to know the "New Windows 95"...the jokes are horrible, but the whole thing is pure comedy! Was it really twelve years ago that 95 was THE cutting edge? Listen to how loud the mouse is.......remember that?!
